Queen Street Mall is a destination where rich heritage and modern retail collide, home to more than 500 brands, including six major shopping centres: QueensPlaza, Uptown, Brisbane Arcade, Tattersalls Arcade, Wintergarden and MacArthur Central.

In a mall this expansive, it can be hard to know where to start. Never fear, grab your bags and your favourite shopping ‘fit and check out our comprehensive shopping guide for Queen Street Mall and the surrounding streets.

Shopping centres

QueensPlaza

QueensPlaza is the glitzy home to high-end brands and Queensland’s flagship five-storey David Jones department store. On the ground floor of QueensPlaza, you’ll find a range of renowned international luxury boutiques including Burberry, Tiffany & Co., Bvlgari, Oroton, Dior, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Balenciaga, Chanel and Gucci.

Take the escalator to the upper level to discover much-loved high-end Australian brands such as Aje, Zimmermann, Sacha Drake, Rebecca Vallance, Scanlan Theodore and Gorman, along with Aesop and Mecca Cosmetica.
 
Cure those shopping cravings downstairs at the circular food court with quick grab-and-go style eateries alongside more retailers including kikki.K and T2 plus a range of beauty stores and services including Oscar Oscar Hair salon and Laser Clinics. Don’t forget to check out the shops along QueensPlaza’s Adelaide Street side such as Mooii, Kitten D’Amour and Saba.

QueensPlaza is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm and Sundays from 10.30am to 4pm. You can enter its 24-hour car park at 250 Edward St. The multi-level basement car park has five levels with more than 600 parking bays, making it the perfect spot to park for your shopping spree! 

Wintergarden

Wintergarden first opened in the 1920s as The Wintergarden Theatre before it was revitalised in 1981 to become the mall’s first shopping centre. This Queen Street Mall shopping mecca is where you will find local and national boutiques trading over multiple levels.

Enter Wintergarden from either Queen Street Mall or Edward Street and start shopping at retailers including Cue, Dinosaur Designs, Seed, Zara, R.M. Williams and Mecca Maxima. Work your way further into the shopping centre and look for, Aquila, M.J. Bale, Peter Jackson, Pigeonhole, Nine West and Sheike.
 
The upper level of Wintergarden is home to Grill’d, Strike, Holey Moley Golf Club and a Goodlife Health Club. 

Located in the heart of The City, Wintergarden is easily accessible by public transport and only a short walk away from Central Station, Eagle Street and bus stations including King George Square and The Myer Centre.

Wintergarden opens from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 9pm Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday. Secure Parking operates the 24-hour Wintergarden Car Park. Enter via Elizabeth Street and make sure you book online for the best parking deals. 

170 Queen Street

Previously known as Broadway on the Mall, 170 Queen Street is a three-level retail centre located in the heart of Queen Street Mall featuring two key international brands, H&M and Uniqlo. Walk through the flagship stores to Broadway on Adelaide where you'll discover a treasure trove of homewares, kitchen and bathroom accessories and stationery at Daiso on the lower level. You'll also find Jan Logan's elegant jewellery and Jimmy Rods Barbershop. Make sure you check the opening hours of each retailer as they vary. 

Uptown

The largest of Queen Street Mall’s shopping centres, six-level Uptown sits at the George Street end of the mall. On the very top levels, you’ll find Event Cinemas and the FunHouse games arcade, along with Lincraft and Daiso The lower two floors house a massive food court spanning two levels, a Target department store and a Coles Express supermarket.
 
Keep an eye out for women's fashion stores including Jacqui E, Honey Birdette, Sussan and Novo; menswear stores such as yd. Australia, Tarocash and Lowes; unisex retailers such as Country Road, Surf Dive n’ Ski and Just Jeans; and jewellery and accessory stores Angus & Coote, Prouds, Lovisa, Strandbags and Mano. 
 
There’s also a selection of beauty stores including W Cosmetics and MD Ranking plus beauty brands such as Lush, ProfessioNAIL, and Stefan.

Uptown is open Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm, 9am to 9pm of Fridays, 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 5pm and the car park is open 24/7, with entry via 66 Elizabeth Street. Trained car park attendants are always on site to assist you in finding the perfect park or to help you locate your car after a busy day of shopping!

MacArthur Central  

MacArthur Central is always a hive of activity, thanks in large part to Woolworths, one of the only full-sized supermarkets in The City. On the basement floor, you can find a BWS bottle shop, Priceline Pharmacy and several grab-and-go food outlets. On the ground and upper floors, you’ll find a two-level Big W department store, JB HiFi, and food and drink retailers Bistro Valery and Hanaichi. On the exterior street levels flanking Edward and Queen Streets, shop in the newly opened Paspaley store, TAG Heuer, Hugo Boss, Longines, the APM Monaco jewellery store and The City’s only Apple Store.

We recommend securing your parking spot ahead of time with Secure Parking Brisbane City. Spend $40 in Woolworths or $65 in Big W and receive one-hour free parking any day of the week. All you need to do is validate your parking ticket at the customer service desk at either retailer. This car park is closed on public holidays.

Arcades

Brisbane Arcade  

Brisbane Arcade is an icon of Queen Street Mall. This 1923 building holds the secrets to some of The City’s most iconic fashion designers, continuing to buzz with local talent, production and design spanning nearly a century.
 
There are more than jewellery designers and stores in the arcade. On the street level, you’ll find, Pandora, Robert White Jewellers, Stones Diamond Ring Specialists and Vintage Watch Co. Unearth an absolute diamond on the gallery level with Ashley Douglas, Bradley Jewellery, Duncan Vickers Engraver, Girls Love Pearls, James Tyler Jeweller, Kimmison Jewellery and Stephen Dibb Jewellery.
 
Brisbane designers calling the arcade home include Tengdahl, Irma J Smith, Maiocchi, Belle Folie Millinery and Bridal and Darb Bridal Couture. Keep an eye out for specialty shops The Model Shoppe and The Tea Centre whilst you’re there.

Brisbane Arcade is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. The most convenient place to park when visiting Brisbane Arcade is in Brisbane City Council’s King George Square Car Park, just over the road from the Adelaide Street entrance.

Tattersall’s Arcade  

Another historic precinct, Tattersall’s Arcade opened in 1926 and takes its name from the private membership Tattersall’s Club where it is housed. Renowned as one of The City’s oldest and most prestigious shopping precincts, this street level arcade is home to high-end boutiques such as Longchamp, Swatch, Optiko, A.G Designer Jeweller Canturi, and Lannah Dunn Fine Jewellery. Treat yourself to some cannoli and coffee at the gorgeous Italian café Marchetti, before exploring the beautiful colours pouring out of Mister Botanical. 

Tattersall’s Arcade is located on the ground level of Tattersall’s Club at 215 Queen Street. Shoppers can access the arcade via the Queen Street Mall or Edward Street with the closest parking in QueensPlaza car park.

Stores on the mall

Lucky for us, some of Australia’s favourite brands call Queen Street Mall home. Towards the Edward Street end of the mall, you’ll find R.M. Williams, Rodd & Gunn and Seed Heritage, alongside tourist shop Australia the Gift.
 
Near the George Street/Treasury Brisbane end of the Queen Street Mall, you’ll find a Cotton On megastore, two Rebel Sport outlets, Jo Mercer, Lush, Valley Girl, City Beach, Peter Alexander and Priceline.

Albert Street

Albert Street intersects the middle of Queen Street Mall. Head in the direction of Elizabeth Street to find sporting, streetwear and footwear brands at Lululemon, Lorna Jane, Nike, Foot Locker and Universal Store plus JB Hi-Fi.
 
Towards the King George Square side of Albert Street, drop into Rocking Horse Records for records and music memorabilia and Perfect Potion for natural oils.

International retailers

The mall is home to some iconic international players that have set up shop in The City. A luxurious Louis Vuitton next to a two-storey H&M and three-level Uniqlo sit side-by-side with massive glass frontage on the mall. Opposite, a three-storey Zara houses the Spanish label’s women’s, men’s and children’s ranges.

Streets surrounding the mall

Along the Edward Street luxury shopping strip, expect to find international retailers such as TAG Heuer, Hermes, Cartier, Hugo Boss and Montblanc as well as menswear boutiques Mitchell Ogilvie Menswear and Canali. You'll also spot stores by Brisbane jewellery designer Christie Nicolaides and Australian jewellery label Sarah & Sebastian. 
 
Adelaide Street is home to a variety of boutique shops including Monster Threads, Biome and Laced as well as hair salons and vintage stores.
 
Elizabeth Street offers an eclectic range of Asian eateries, independent boutiques and streetwear stores such as Scotch & Soda, Culture Kings, General Pants Co., Fast Times Skateboarding, XCLSVE and JD Sports.
