FAIRY TALES | 2 DEC - 28 APR
Reconnect with centuries-old stories at this exhibition that brings childhood tales to life through sculpture, drawing, film and design. Learn the origins of classics and the ever-present themes that make these stories so loved. Live out your own fairy tale dreams at QAGOMA this summer.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST | 14 FEB – 9 JUN
QPAC invites you to ‘be our guest’ for this remarkable recreation of a much-loved Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast. Enjoy this ‘tale as old as time’ as told through stunning set design, elaborate costumes and moving song and dance.

HIROMI TANGO AT MUSEUM OF BRISBANE | 2 MAR – 11 AUG
Hiromi invites visitors to create decorative flowers and foliage fashioned from upcycled textiles and foraged local materials inspired by the abundant blooms and buds found across Brisbane. Museum-goers can participate in facilitated hands-on workshops or simply wander in and engage in self-guided art activities to contribute to the budding public project.

BRISBANE COMEDY FESTIVAL | 26 APR - 26 MAY
Laughter extravaganza, Brisbane Comedy Festival, returns with a with the best, brightest and funniest comedians for four big belly-laugh weeks of entertainment hosted across the Brisbane Powerhouse, The Tivoli and The Fortitude Music Hall.

THE WOMAN IN BLACK | 30 APR – 11 MAY
After three decades in the West End, The Woman in Black is coming to Australia. Britain’s second longest-running play after The Mousetrap, The Woman in Black tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family. Don’t miss the chance to watch this terrifying original live on stage.

BRISBANE WRITERS FESTIVAL | 30 MAY – 2 JUN
Bringing fresh new ideas and sparking conversations, join an array of events, festive entertainment, engaging storytelling and a superstar line-up of legendary authors and familiar voices at the Brisbane Writers Festival.

EVER AFTER HIGH TEA | 5 JAN – 24 APR
W Brisbane has launched a fairy-tale-themed high tea in celebration of QAGOMA’s ‘Fairy Tales’ exhibit. Guests can immerse themselves in a reimagined high tea at W Brisbane and indulge in delectable bites inspired by timeless tales of ‘once upon a times’ and ‘happily ever afters’.

A FIERY WINTER WARMER | 4 MAY – ONGOING
Enjoy the magic of an evening under the stars with this cosy firepit and hamper experience at Sirromet Winery run every Saturday and Sunday. Relax in a private setting with a firepit, picnic blanket and rustic barrel table while sipping on complimentary mulled wine and sampling tasty nibbles from a generous hamper filled with premium cheeses to crackers and sweets.

STONES CORNER FESTIVAL | 5 MAY
The legendary inner-city street festival returns to Stones Corner. Get ready for a fun-filled affair with live music that’ll make you move, mouth-watering bites from all the best food trucks and refreshing drinks to keep the party going. 

MOULD CHEESE FESTIVAL | 24 - 26 MAY
Bringing together cheese connoisseurs from across Australia, this spectacular three-day festival celebrates all things brie, cheddar, burrata and more. Sample your way through an abundance of artisan cheese and complimenting condiments with the option to purchase all your favourites.

TENERIFFE FESTIVAL | 8 JUN
Teneriffe Festival is back for another incredible year of bringing the best beats, eats, arts and drinks to the biggest and most vibrant street party Brisbane has ever seen and capped off with headline acts from The Cat Empire and Thundamentals. Roam vibrant market stalls, witness captivating street performers, sample tasty treats and soak up the live music.

JURASSIC WORLD BY BRICKMAN | 8 DEC – 13 JULY
Get ready for an immersive adventure like no other as Ryan 'Brickman' McNaught re-imagines Jurassic World, featuring large-scale dinosaurs, props, scenes and activities made from over 6 million LEGO® bricks. Relive the magic of beloved stories and characters from the Jurassic World  franchise, as you embark on a thrilling journey across the Isla Nublar. 

GIGS & PICNICS | ONGOING
Get ready to soak up the vibrant atmosphere with the return of Gigs & Picnics - a free event nestled in the City Botanic Gardens. Join us from 12-4pm on the last Saturday of March to May and August to October for an unforgettable experience of free live music and delicious food trucks, thanks to City Sounds, Australia’s largest and longest-running free live music program.

2024 AMPOL WOMEN'S STATE OF ORIGIN | 16 MAY
The 2024 Ampol Women's State of Origin historic 3 game Series will kick off on Thursday, 16 May at Suncorp Stadium, on the eve of NRL Magic Round. New South Wales or Queensland, who will you be cheering for? Be there live to witness Australia's greatest sporting rivalry.

NRL MAGIC ROUND | 17 – 19 MAY
The NRL Magic Round returns to Suncorp Stadium in May to showcase the best of the NRL. Experience the action up close with 16 NRL teams going head-to-head over three days.

TORIAN PRO | 24 – 26 MAY
